My Guiding principles of 2022
As I have explored myself in the past year to two, I have become a much happier person. I am more alive, and little things in life tend to not trouble me anymore. Each action I take is with confidence and self assurance. With that I have listed a set of guidelines that I have used in the past year.
With that said, may these principles help uncover yourself.
There is no blueprint for life. Each person has had an unique experience of life which has made them arrive to this very moment, from generations of their lineage they have survived. Life has had to break many rules to help you arrive at this moment. So have you, consciously or unconsciously. That is perfectly okay.
All truth is relative. There are no absolutes, what you believe to be true only holds to you. It is modeled from your relationships with life, and beliefs that have influenced you to be here. So be careful having expectations on other people's behavior and their reasoning and viewpoints.
There is no right and wrong. As we interact with the world, our judgments, opinions get constantly updated. You are not the same person as yesterday, or even earlier today. As you have grown from yesterday and molded yourself, as a unique person you are today so have others. So stop holding on expectations on how others are like, or behave. They too have changed and grown. Maybe it might be the way you desired and that is okay, it is their life and choice. Accept them as they are.
On Love. The care, affection, and moments you shared with the people you loved probably never goes away. You will probably still love them but you have learned to heal yourself, and love again deeply.
To love a person, it is accepting them as they are. It is independent of your expectations, and what they should be like or decisions they are making. It is the ability to hold space for the individual enabling them to creatively express themselves as they truly are.
Love is something you possess. It is the quality of accepting yourself and the world as it is this very moment. It is a way of being where each action you take is aligned with yourself, done with care, attention, and devotion. It radiates to your surroundings to animate and inanimate alike.
There are no bad experiences. It is a choice to take each experience as a gift. And once you do, each experience manifests as an opportunity to learn and grow. They are not failures and successes rather as a gift of life to experience.
What you give is what you get. Karma as people say is simple. it is your outlook on life and affects the abundance that you receive. If you are willing, all shall be held and given. The universe itself has manifested for your experience.
No one has a map for your life direction, and purpose. No saint, astrologer, god, and spiritual guru has answers for your life. You are given this life to experience it completely, and thus derive meaning, purpose, and direction as the experience of life unfolds through you.
Only you can drive and give direction for yourself. You make choices, you are ultimately responsible for the decisions you make. The available set of decisions are unique to you at any given time. But the ability to make choices is completely up to you. No one or anything can truly influence you to make a decision.
Whether you like it or not, the river of life flows. It is your choice to flow with it or resist it. When there is resistance to the flow of life the universe is asking you to update your belief systems. It is a divine opportunity for growth, to live a more fulfilled and happier life.
Life is full of contradictions, and differing points of opinion. As life unfolds you will demystify the contradictions, and realize simple truths and guiding principles that make your life meaningful.
Flowers blossom when they are ready, you can't control when they blossom. Like the flower you will blossom when you are ready. Be patient, and keep practicing.
Flowers are beautiful as they are, plucking it won't make the flower more beautiful. So marvel at the beauty of the flower as it is. Let the flower be and let it grow. As such when you find something beautiful there isn't always a need to buy it or make it yours. Observe the beauty as it is, give it the space it deserves.
I have come to the realization home is wherever I am. If I am in Austin, that is home, if I am with friends that is my home, if I am traveling that is home. In other words, my home is my body. And the way I am not the home, I am not the body.
It is natural to try to fix problems, we try to keep fixing this and that, but instead try to bring awareness, just be aware of the sensations. With awareness comes acceptance, and with that comes clarity for change.
